A cart shed and grain store have been converted into dwellings, currently rented as holiday lets. The project aimed to retain the 'barn' qualities of the building.
Local sustainable materials such as straw were incorporated and the idea was to keep energy costs down. The conversion won a RIBA architects award in 2002 for hudson architects.
The main areas of the barn are heated with under floor heating.
